Suffolk Day Writers Competition

September 11, 2017

Over the past few months I have been entering short story competitions to keep up my writing and to also help improve my technique in writing creatively, and from all the polite responses of ‘thanks but no thanks’ I received it began to get a little bit disheartening…that was until I received an email from … More Suffolk Day Writers Competition

To the Future and beyond!

March 31, 2017

The past eight weeks have absolutely flown by and the Future Learn course on creative writing I have been undertaking has sadly come to an end. ‘When Love Meets Lust’ by Stephanie Cross

It’s been a while since I updated the blog so thought I would post a little something on there about my experience writing in lockdown! https://itsdefinitelystephanie.com/2021/03/23/the-writers-lockdown/
Happy World Book Day 2021! 🤓📚
Apparently today is International Bubble Bath Day so what better way to spend a Friday evening than by having a good soak in the tub with this month’s choice for #12booksat30 which is Paulo Coelho’s ‘The Alchemist’ 😊
Betty Books told me she was really busy this month and I thought it was because she had lots of festive books to get through but turns out she’d taken on a part-time job as a Christmas angel! 🤣😇
After a house move and a wedding, normality is beginning to resume and so I am able to get back into reading and writing again! 😊 I thought I would share my December pick of #12booksat30 which is ‘A Maigret Christmas and other stories’. I have to confess I haven’t read any Maigret books but have seen the TV adaptations which I really enjoyed so I’m sure the book will be just as good! 📚😊
Time is yet again flying as we are now in October meaning it is time to reveal this month’s choice of #12booksat30 based on the theme of Man Booker Prize winners. I have decided to go for ‘Milkman’ by Anna Burns as I find the title and corresponding blurb rather intriguing! Next month’s theme is indie authors so let me know what indie author/book you think I should choose!
